Herman “Hamp” James Hampton, 74, a native and resident of Lafourche Parish, La., died at 6:53 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
Mr. Hampton is survived by his sons, Craig and Jerome Hampton; daughters, Demetria (Donald) Bryant and Vanessa (Felton) Robertson; brothers, Bruce, Lloyd (Nichelle) and Marvin (Linda) Hampton; sisters, Eula Dicks, Lucille Hampton, Elsie (Isiah) and Louise (Curtis) Poindexter, Linda Young, Bernadine Howard and Doris (Matthew) Verrett; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Burial is at Morning Start Baptist Church Cemtery in Thibodaux.
