Louda Sevin Duplantis, 89, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 7:25 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010.

Mrs. Duplantis was a member of Little Caillou Baptist Church. She was a retired bus driver with the Terrebonne Parish School Board for 15 years.

She is survived by her son, Ruben (Della) Duplantis of Chauvin; three grandchildren, Daniel Duplantis of Chauvin, Cheryl (Robert) Abadie of Harvey, Naomi (Scott) Young of New Orleans; great-grandchildren, Robbie (Cheryl) Duplantis of Dallas; and two great-great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Sebastian Duplantis of Dallas.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilson “Tone” Duplantis Jr.; parents, Oville and Ada Fields Sevin; brothers, Webster, Chester and Noland Sevin; and sisters, Annie Rhodes and Olga Chauvin.

She is buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, La.
