Grand Isle woman ends drought at Tarpon Rodeo

Velta Campbell Broussard, 87, a native of Abbeville, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died at 5:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016.
Mrs. Broussard was a retired Department of Transportation and Army Corps of Engineers worker. She enjoyed gardening and reading the word of God.
She is survived by her son, Stephen (Linda) Broussard; daughter, LeeAnn (Ernest) Lott; sister, Hazel Harrington; brother, Lanest Campbell; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Paul Cemetery in Abbeville.
