Mrs. Richard was a member of the St. Joseph the Worker Church in Pierre Part and St. Anne Church in Napoleonville. Also, when she was not occupied babysitting or chauffeuring grandkids, she managed to find some time to visit the casinos. Mrs. Richard was very active in the civic and church communities in Pierre Part. Her cooking and quilting skills were acknowledged by all.

She is survived by her daughters, Evelyn Richard and Kim (Don) Torres; son, Neal (Beth) Richard; stepson, Stephen (Rita) Richard; daughter-in-law, Nancy Richard; special friend, Philip “Pete” (Sandra) Aucoin; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and brother and godchild, Herman Blanchard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Richard; stepson, Harold Richard; grandson, Michael Richard; parents, Philip and Alida Breaux Blanchard; four sisters, Glenna Landry, Sadie Blanchard, Margie Rodrigue and Violet Aucoin; and brother Philip Blanchard.

Pallbearers were Clint Elliott, D.J. and Terrill Torres, Gary Landry, and Tyler and Brian Richard.
