Doris Kosior, 89, a native of Lafayette, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, August 6, at 12:20 p.m.
She is survived by two sons, Bernie Kosior and Ricky Kosior, both of Houma; one daughter, Mary K. Cherry and husband Charles A. Cherry of Houma; one daughter-in-law, Jan M. Kosior of Pennsville, N.J.; one sister-in-law, Lillian B. Meaux of Lafayette, La.; two granddaughters, Dawn Kosior Armstrong and husband Douglas Armstrong, and Katherine A. Cherry; three grandsons, Sam Cherry, Mark Kosior and Jesse Kosior; and two great-grandsons, Emerson Armstrong and Evan Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Meaux and Ida Girouard Meaux; one son, Paul J. Kosior; and two brothers, Edward M. Meaux and Richard C. Meaux.
She was a homemaker and a member of Truth Baptist Church in Gray, La.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, at Chauvin Funeral Home with a religious service to follow. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Lafayette.
