Landry and Boustany agree on region’s needs
November 14, 2011Frank D. Daviet, 85, a native and resident of Lockport, La., died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011.
Mr. Daviet was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and an active service member of the Lockport Volunteer Fire Department for 68 years. He was a past commander and active member of the American Legion Post 83 and a member of Lafourche Parish Fire District 2.
He is survived by his sons, Mark (Mary) and Barry (Rhonda) Daviet; daughters, Jane (Buddy) Simons and Laurie (Barry) Hohensee; brother, Joseph Daviet Jr.; sister, Yvonne Grimes; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Daviet; parents, Joseph and Margie Daviet; and sons, Chris and Glenn Daviet.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport and 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Holy Savior Church in Lockport with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
