Joyce Rita Parfait, 80, a native of Grand Caillou, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 12:40 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2016.
Mrs. Parfait was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. She loved cooking, sewing, cake decorating and traveling.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Varnis Joseph Parfait; son, Faron (Lena) Parfait; daughters, Rachael Pierre and Dierdra (David) Scott; brothers, Howard, Nile, Clyde, Michael and Fabian Dion; sisters, Lois Salinas, Ethel Haynes, Adrial Boals, Caldriat Breaux, Chawdry Billiot, Maryal Mewherter, Fern Gautreaux and Cherrel Parfait; 19 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. Interment is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
