Gerald Schouest

Gerald Jeffery Schouest, 73, a native and resident of Houma, La., died on Monday, June 13, 2016.

Mr. Schouest was an avid outdoorsman and was a member of the Terrebonne Sportsman League Board of Directors, the Louisiana Tarpon Club and a founding member of the Little Pass Fishing Club. He also served his community as a member of the Village East Fire Department, the Terrebonne Parish Planning Commission and the Coastal Zone Management Board.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Malbrough Schouest; son, Dean Schouest; daughters, Monica Breaux, Jackie (David) Becnel and Ann Marie Hebert; sister, Elizabeth Vaughn; and nine grandchildren.

Burial is at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Houma.
