Jail inmate accused of rape dies after hanging

David Allen Brasseaux Sr., 58, a native of Sulphur, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
Mr. Brasseaux is survived by his wife, Sally Marie Brasseaux; mother, Dolores Broussard Brasseaux; children, Anthony and Bernie Perera, David Jr., Allen and Tracie Brasseaux, Tiffany Deroche, Angel Cadiere and Angela Parfait; brother, Donald Brasseaux; and 16 grandchildren.
Burial will be held at a later date.
