September 13, 2018Richard Peter Robichaux, age 75, passed away surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018. He was a native of Houma and a resident of Chauvin.
Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Theresa LeCompte Robichaux; sons, Darren P. Robichaux and wife, Melissa, and Benjy J. Robichaux and wife, Wendy; daughter, Monica R. Arceneaux and husband, James Sr.; brother, Caroll Robichaux and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Jason P. Arceneaux and wife, Morgan, James P. Arceneaux Jr. and companion, Brittni, and Rebecca “Becky” Arceneaux and companion, Connor, Kourtney Robichaux and companion, Toby, Kyle Robichaux, Mirranda Robichaux and Lilly and Cade Robichaux; and great-grandchildren, Charlie, Addelyn, Lena, Bella and Ari Arceneaux, Liliana Theriot, Ki’lyn Lyons and Javien Jones.
Richard was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He retired from Entergy Louisiana after 36 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for six years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Woodmen of the World. He enjoyed fishing, trawling, making trawl nets and hunting. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His pride and joy were his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
