Gov.’s wife joins effort to build Gray Habitat home

May 20, 2010Donald Joseph Owen Sr., a native of Larose, La., died Friday, April 30, 2010.
Mr. Owens owned Owen’s Clothing Store in Golden Meadow for 25 years. Later, he founded and owned Owen Building Materials in Cut Off for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rena Terrebonne Owen; son, Donald (Kate) Owen Jr.; daughter, Monica (Matson) Blocker; and four grandchildren.
