Dorothy Lewis

Dorothy Mae Lewis, 83, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 4:24 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.

Ms. Lewis is survived by her sons, Michael (Karen) Wright and Alton (Keisha) Lewis; daughters, Beverly Gibson, Sadie (Ernest) LaGarde, Debra Lewis, Sharlene (Herbert) Stokes and Stephanie Dock; sister, Elmira Singleton; 23 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Christ Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Houma.
