BREAKING: Four youths escape detention
July 20, 2018The first ever St. Gregory Music Festival, this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., offers not only exciting and fun live music, but also delicious food. live and silent auctions, crafts, and more for all its attendees.
This family event will be held on the St Gregory Catholic barbaric o School grounds. 441 Sixth St in Houma The entry fee is 35 and kids 12 years old and under get in free.
The entry fee gets festival goers the ability to experience a wide range of entertainment that includes swamp pop (None Nu & Da Wild Matous), Christian music (Ascribe), a dance band (Good Feelin’), a professional magician from Las Vegas, and much more.
The food available to purchase at the event is just as impressive as its entertainment lineup. The festival will have fried shrimp, oyster poppers, hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, white beans, etc. Soft drinks, beer, and snowballs will be offered as well.
Items such as barbecue pits, fishing rods, artwork, gifts baskets, and more will be auctioned at the festival.
All the proceeds from the festival go to benefiting St Gregory audits students. The money will help provide school materials, keep the school in top condition with repairs and maintenance, and hopefully go towards building additions.
“It’s going to be a fun time with a lot of entertainment, food, and music. It has something for all age B and supports a local school in this diocese [Houma-Thibodaux].” says Brent Roger, chairman of the festival. “It’s for the betterment of the children, and makes sure that they get the correct spiritual and educational development.”
