Court bars Terrebonne from minority judge lawsuit

William “Yum” J. Cheramie Sr., a native and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died on Friday, May 6, 2016.
Mr. Cheramie was a WWII Navy veteran who loved fishing, hunting, gardening and cooking.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, JoAnn “Mommie Jo” Dardar Cheramie; children, William Jr., Deborah (Bozo), Brian (Odile), Jody (Crystal), Terrie, Garry (Angela) and Paris (Sunshine); 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters, Norma and Vivian (Raymond); and mother-in-law, Dorothy.
