
Accused killer ruled incompetent to stand trial

February 19, 2013Amos William Curry, 94, a native of Bayou Chene, La., and resident of Franklin, La., died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.
Mr. Curry was a member of the Franklin Lodge 57, F&AM and was a former board member of the Calvary Bible Church in Centerville, La. He retired from Atlantic Richfield Oil & Gas Company in 1982 after over 30 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his children, Lana (Ken) Turner and Ronald (Lydia) Curry; brothers, E. J. (Lettie), Murphy, Alden and Aubrey (Virgie) Curry; sisters, Corrine Curry, Freida (Eldridge) Larson and Vivian (Bill) Adams; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Curry; parents, Edwin and Julia Curry; brothers, Evan, Floyd and Jack Curry; and sisters, Goldie Snellgrove, Florence Allen and Alvenia Carline.
Burial is at Franklin Cemetery. (Ibert’s)
