Mahlon Joseph Bourgeois, 86, a native of Arabie, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, July 4.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Adams Bourgeois.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis Bourgeois Sr. and Octavia Rodrigue Bourgeois; brothers, Eldridge Bourgeois Sr., Buel Bourgeois Sr., Lewis Bourgeois Jr., Benjamin Bourgeois Sr. and Hampton Bourgeois Sr.; and sister, Olga Bourgeois Isaminger.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport, La., with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport is in charge of the arrangements.
