Lisa Cortez Adams, 47, a native of Des Allemands, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, January 21, at 1:24 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Tony Adams; father, Fredrick “Crip” Cortez and wife Berdine “Dee” Cortez; daughters, Priscilla Rister and husband Andy, and Julia Adams; brothers, Fredrick Cortez Jr., William Cortez Sr. and Michael Valenti; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Mae Cortez.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Des Allemands. She was a homemaker whose hobbies included playing bingo and cards.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 25, and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, January 26, at First Baptist Church of Des Allemands. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial at Mennonite Cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
