Ruth Lagarde Rainey, 91, a native and resident of Gray, La., died Saturday, January 5, 2008.
She is survived by her brother, Clarence Lagarde; two sisters, Loretta Lagarde Sneed and Pinky Lagarde Patterson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Rainey; parents, Henry Sr. and Roseanna Williams Lagarde; three brothers, Henry Lagarde, Jr., Othello Lagarde, and Ulysses Lagarde; four sisters, Ruth Lagarde, Verna Lagarde Patterson, Geraldine L. Streams, and Julia Williams Bradley.
Ruth was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church and served on the Deaconess Board. Her hobbies included sewing.
Visitation is Saturday, January 12, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Gray, La. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
