Flood maps giving contractors fits in Lafourche

Irving “Blackie” Joseph Freeman, 82, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Houma, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at 9:20am.
He is survived by his wife, Beulah “Be Be” Bush Freeman; one son, Michael Freeman; two daughters, Charlotte Freeman and Bridget St. Martin of Houma; one brother, Larry Freeman; three sisters, Mary Rose Freeman, Theresa DuBois and Antoinette Morgan; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawson Freeman and Louise Champagne Freeman; one grandson, Darrell Anderson; and one brother, L.J. Freeman.
Irving was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.

Chauvin Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
