December 11, 2014What residents are saying about today’s issues
My thoughts are it’s stupid. My thoughts are it’s the worst way to go about this. Why punish innocent business owners? Why wreck the town you have to live in? I get it’s a sensitive subject, but they are being ridiculous.
My heart breaks for everyone involved. I don’t think the family of the young kid killed wants their cause to be linked to all this violence. It’s a bad situation all-around.
The media had a lot to do with it. It was a complete breakdown. It turned into a racial issue when it shouldn’t have been. The media propelled that completely. If they let due process of the law take place, it wouldn’t have happened.
I don’t like how because someone was killed, everyone riots and burns flags. That is disrespectful to all the men and women who have served our country.
I have mixed thoughts on Ferguson. It is a shame the young man died. The problem is the young man was doing something he shouldn’t have been doing. It was a cause and effect thing. If the police officer’s life was truly in danger, then he felt he did what he needed to do.
It is a giant distraction using race as a crutch. It is a shame to see reactions because it leaves the country divided. The only way to get rid of the race issue is to let it go. In order to do that, it needs to heal. We have to forgive.
