“Games Faces: LSU Sports,” through Aug. 23. On June 20th, a reception honoring the 1958 Championship LSU Football team will be held. The exhibit features LSU sports memorabilia and artifacts, a few dating back to the early 20th century, such as the1907 football that was used in a game in Cuba and track shoes worn by track star Al Moreaux.

“An Adventure in the Arts: The Permanent Collection of the Guild Hall Museum, East Hampton, N.Y.” through June 8. A selection of over 70 paintings, sculptures, photographs and works on paper dating from 1878 to 1994. Includes works by Childe Hassam, Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, Andy Warhol and Chuck Close.

“American Masters from the Blanton Museum of Art’s Mari and James A. Michener Collection,” through Nov. 30. Nearly 40 paintings trace the development of 20th Century Americana painting, from the gritty realism of Robert Henri to the startling pop art of Robert Indiana to the experimental abstraction of Alan Cote.
