Voice of the Wetlands Festival 2009 (Houma)

Oct. 9-11 at the Southdown Plantation House/Terrebonne Museum, 1208 Museum Drive. Musicians Dash Rip Rock, Treater, Six Strings Down, Freddy and the Freeloaders, Juice, Josh Garret, Susan Cowsil, John “Papa” Gros Piano Band, Jimmy Carpenter, St. Lucy’s Catholic Church Choir, Christian Serpas and Ghost Town, Southern Cross, Waylon Thibodeaux, Sons of William and Chubby Carrier and Amanda Shaw join Houma bluesman Tab Benoit on stage. Event includes a special performance by Louisiana LeRoux on Saturday and, on Sunday, the Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars – Benoit, Dr. John, Galactic’s Stanton Moore, Cyril Neville, George Porter Jr., Anders Osborne, Jumpin’ Johnny Sansone, Thibodeaux and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux.
