“Mary Walker Oil Paintings,” through Oct. 31. Walker uses primitive figures and pastel shades to depict the lifestyles, past and present, of her community. Her oil paintings depict black Southern culture in a style reminiscent of Clementine Hunter. The Thibodaux woman draws inspiration from her faith and family history and especially from her grandmother’s stories about the “old days.”
