The Bayou Region Incubator is set to host a series of fall workshops available to the public:

  • Thursday, Oct. 24: Understanding Your Credit: The Key to Financial Opportunities with First Horizon Bank, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
  • Friday, Oct. 25: How to Use Google Sheets, 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 1: How to Use Google Slides, 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 7: Small Business Roundtable, 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 8: Business Law Basics with Professor and Attorney Gene Gouaux, 9 – 10:30 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 15: How to Use Google Drive, 9 – 11 a.m.
  • Friday, Nov. 22: How to Use Gmail, 9 – 11 a.m
  • Thursday, Dec. 12: Discover Yourself Through a Personality Assessment with Robinson Clark Consulting, 4 – 6 p.m.

Each workshop will take place at the BRI, located at 203 W 3rd St., and costs $5 to attend for nonmembers. Members of the BRI can register through the Coworks membership app, and Nicholls students and employees can register for free with code “COLONELS.” Registration and more information is available here.

The purpose of the BRI is to provide training, mentorships, networking events and other support to existing or aspiring entrepreneurs and small businesses. The incubator’s objectives include enhancing resiliency in a post-COVID-19 environment by diversifying the local economy and developing strategies for businesses to adapt and respond to new economic trends and unexpected challenges.
