Houma’s beloved Rougarou Festival is excited to present their first-ever Rougarou Trail, showcasing local restaurants and businesses offering a Rougarou-themed special for the month of October!

“The goal is simple: Eat local, shop local, and support these fantastic businesses,” reads a statement from the Rougarou Festival. “All proceeds stay with the restaurants, so your participation helps fuel our local community here in Houma.”

Here’s how you can join the fun: Visit one of the participating businesses, snap a photo of your Rougarou-inspired dish, and tag the restaurant and Rougarou Festival on your social media post.

All proceeds go to the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center, a nonprofit organization that is revolutionizing how we think, teach and learn about Louisiana’s disappearing coast.

The 2024 Rougarou Festival will take place October 18-20 at 86 Valhi Boulevard in Houma. For more information, please visit their Facebook page.
