November 15, 2024Terrebonne Parish School Board announced during their recent meeting that district will recognize and celebrate the national American Education Week from November 18-22, 2024.
“American Education Week will be observed this November in Terrebonne Parish Schools,” said Superintendent Bubba Orgeron. “This special week focuses attention on the importance of education and all that it stands for.”
Further, November 20, 2024 is designated as Educational Support Personnel Day, which honors the many contributions of school support employees, such as custodians, nurses, cafeteria crews, crossing guards, and more.
American Education Week happens annually in the week prior to the week of Thanksgiving. Each day of the week has its own theme, during which students, staff, and families celebrate our public school community.
Festivities honor the team of people who work in our nation’s public schools, everyone from the bus driver and classroom teacher to the cafeteria worker and administrative staff, plus countless others.
