Rougarou Fest October 18 – 20 South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center and Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center grounds-  The Rougarou welcomes all to attend this popular family-friendly festival to celebrate our culture and heritage at this three-day festival. The Rougarou Fest is a FREE festival with a spooky flair that celebrates the rich folklore that exists along the bayous of Southeast Louisiana. It showcases live music, cultural activities, children’s activities, Cajun food, the Krewe Ga Rou parade, and so much more. All proceeds go to the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center, a nonprofit organization that is revolutionizing how we think, teach and learn about Louisiana’s disappearing coast. Houma Pumpkin Patch October 19-20 & 26-27 Living Word Church, Schriever– Bring your family to Houma’s largest Pumpkin Patch! This family-friendly patch includes pumpkins, hayrides, live music, food, and so much more! Each weekend includes different special activities. FTCC Fall Fest Trunk-R-Treat October 18 from 4 – 7 p.m. Fletcher Technical Community College, Schriever – Fletcher Technical Community College will host a public Fall Fest this October, featuring a trunk or treat, carnival games, and food trucks. Entry fee is 1 non-perishable food item to be donated to the Fletcher Student Food Pantry.

 

Halloween Trivia October 18 at 7 p.m. Mudbug Brewery– Join your friends for good brews and a good time!

 

Haunts and Horrors in da Park Haunted House October 18 at 7 p.m. Peltier Park, Thibodaux– Dare to enter Peltier Park after dark in Thibodaux, hosted by the City of Thibodaux Parks and Recreation.

 

Ghouls on the Run October 19 at 9 a.m. Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center– Join the 1.5 mile Fun Run with awards and a costume contest! Come out to the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center Parking lot, and register at gotrbayouregion.org.

 

Pop-Up Veterinary Vaccine Clinic October 19 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. PetSmart, Houma– Make sure your furry friends are protected at PetSmart’s Pop-Up Clinic.

 

Howl-O-Ween Dog Parade and Festival October 19 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Downtown Houma– Come to the Houma Courthouse Square for a pet parade downtown, featuring food, refreshments, costume contests, awards, and more!

 

Rou-Ga-Con October 19 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center-Gamers, collectors, and all festival attendees are invited to come and experience a spooky twist on the average Comic Con. Rou-Ga-Con will have a variety of new and vintage comics, toys, cards, games, tournaments, and other collectibles, as well as an official cosplay contest. Admission to Rou-Ga-Con is free, and open to all ages!

 

Battle on the Bayou October 19 from 4-9 p.m. Terrebonne High School– Terrebonne High School Crimson Pride is proud to present the 2024 Battle on the Bayou, where local bands from across southern Louisiana will compete in a thrilling showcase. The Battle on the Bayou will take place on October 19, 2024 at the Thomas B. Smith Stadium at Terrebonne High School. Each school will perform for 15 minutes.

 

Acadia Music Fest October 19 from 1 p.m – till Acadia Plantation, Thibodaux– Acadia Music Fest is a one-day outdoor music festival taking place in Thibodaux, LA! It is open for all ages with music throughout the day from local, national and international musicians. This year’s line-up includes Nelly, Cowboy Mouth, Joe Haydel, Austin Williams, DJ Spin, Little John and the Dirty Clarks, the Premier Soul Band, and Icarus Jones. The Acadia Music Fest will also feature local artists, delicious food, and a Kid’s Korner. The charity supported by this year’s Acadia Music Fest is Beyond the Bell, an after school program designed to help Raceland-area children and teens.

 

Krewe des Bebettes Halloween Parade October 19 at  7 p.m. Golden Meadow– Come enjoy a parade, costume contest, candy, and prizes at Armand Street, Oakridge Drive in Golden Meadow.

Schriever Fire Department Trunk or Treat October 20 from 3:30 – 5 p.m. 1529 West Park Avenue in Schriever– Come enjoy crafts, games, and more!

Laurel Valley Fall Festival October 20 at 5 p.m. 595 Hwy 308, Thibodaux– Come out for some music, food, community, vendors, demonstrations, history, and culture!
