French Food Festival | October 25 – October 27 | Larose Civic Center– In addition to delicious Cajun food, and music, The French Food Festival offers a carnival, auction, art show, Cajun market, a petting zoo, and a variety of contests including a a cornhole tournament, Cajun burger eating contest, dance contest, and a costume contest, there is something for everyone! Plan to come hungry with over 40 booths of food. Bring your dancing shoes to dance the night away with live music: Friday – Gary T., J.P. Bourgeois, Junior Lacrosse; Saturday – Ryan Foret and the Foret Tradition, Jamie Bergeron and the Kickin’ Cajuns, Snapper and the Fishsticks, Shorts in December; Sunday – Waylon Thibodaux, Benjamin Bruce and the Acadians. The event takes place at the Larose Civic Center.
Bitty BOOseum | October 25 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Bayou Country Children’s Museum- Come enjoy crafts, games, and trick or treating at the BCCM.
Monsters on Main | October 25 from 5-7 p.m. | Downtown Thibodaux- Bring your little ghosts & ghouls to Downtown Thibodaux for a fun (& free) evening of trick-or-treating with participating businesses!
Light Up the Night | October 25 from 6-10 p.m. | Memorial Park, Houma-Join us for an Al Fresco dinning experience! The perfect way to enjoy the open air, gather with friends and family, and relax under the bayou starlight with live music performances. Located at Memorial Park on the Bayou. All ticket sales go towards local nonprofits.
Houma Pumpkin Patch | October 26 – October 27 | Living Word Church- Bring your family to Houma’s largest Pumpkin Patch at Living Word Church in Schriever! This family-friendly patch includes pumpkins, hayrides, live music, food, and so much more! Each weekend includes different special activities. Coteau Fire Protection District’s Halloween Parade | October 26 at 10 a.m. | Coteau Fire Station- Come out in your best costumes for this upcoming Halloween Parade!
Pumpkin Patch Playland | October 26 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | First United Methodist Church, Thibodaux- Come out to First United Methodist Church at 1255 Canal Blvd in Thibodaux with games, crafts, face painting, lunch, and pumpkins.
Zydeco Harley-Davidson Trunk or Treat and Costume Contest | October 26 from 12-2 p.m. | Zydeco Harley-Davidson- Come out to Zydeco Harley-Davidson in Houma for a pumpkin painting contest, trunk or treat, costume contest, and pizza.
The Broadway Elder Living and Rehabilitation Fall Festival | October 26 from 1-3 p.m. | The Broadway- Come out for food, a petting zoo, costumes, and games at the Broadway Elder Living and Rehabilitation Center at 7534 Highway 1 in Lockport.
Halloween Bash | October 26 from 3-6 p.m.| Houma Courthouse Square- Come out to the Houma Courthouse Square for free games and family fun.
Trunk or Treat | October 26 from 3-5 p.m. | Performance Powersports- Enjoy a free trick or treat event hosted by Performance Powersports Houma at 1816 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in Houma.
Chick-Fil-A Family Fall Festival | October 26 from 4-7 p.m. | Chick-Fil-A in East Houma- Come enjoy a costume contest, petting zoo, face painting, and treats at the Chick-Fil-A in East Houma.
Bayou Blue Recreation Center Trunk or Treat | October 26 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. | 200 Mazerac Street- Enjoy hayrides, a costume contest, food, and more for free!
Brooke’s Sno World Trunk or Treat | October 26 at 6 p.m. | at Brooke’s Sno World, Houma- Come enjoy music, hotdogs, popcorn, and snoballs at Brooke’s!
3rd Annual Boo on the Bayou | October 27 from 12-5 p.m.| Dumas Auditorium– 3rd time’s a charm! Boo on the Bayou is a “children first” festival with games, entertainment, food, and CANDY galore. We make it a point to give kids a safe and enjoyable experience for Halloween. Our purpose for this event is to build community and provide access to resources. We hope to see you there!
