The Rooftop | October 3 from 6 -9 p.m. | The top of the parking garage of Terrebonne General– The Foundation for Terrebonne General Health System is hosting the 12th Annual Rooftop fundraiser. At this year’s event, they are also celebrating the 70th Anniversary of Terrebonne General Health System. The Rooftop supports mission critical services such as lifesaving screenings, advocating for healthier communities, improving patient care, and working for equitable health for all people. Together, we are improving the health and well-being of the citizens of the Bayou Region. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased here.

Casie & Jonny | October 4 from 6 – 9 p.m. | Bayou Terrebonne Distillery– Music you love, moonshine, and whiskey at BTD in Houma.

La Fete Des Vieux Temps | October 4 – 6 | 4484 Highway 1, in Raceland– Called the “Festival of Old Times” this event features a celebration of music, dancing, Cajun food, and arts & crafts show! This long standing event is a local favorite and showcases the true authentic Cajun culture of Lafourche Parish.

Annual Men’s Conference | October 5 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. | St. Bernadette Catholic Church– The day will focus on the identities of manhood: Son, Friend, Husband and Father. Registration for “Behold the Man” is $20 and can be completed online at https://www.stbernadettechurchhouma.com or at the church office.

Maw Maw Walker | October 5 starting at 12 p.m. | Downtown Houma– Get those walkers ready, sha! The 4th annual Maw Maw Walker returns to Downtown Houma! Hosted by the Hache Grant Association, community members are invited to come out dressed as their favorite “mawmaw” or “pawpaw” for an incredible party. Beginning in Downtown Houma’s Courthouse Square, the party kicks off at noon. The $20 registration allows you to enter the costume contest, get some Maw Maw Walker swag, and enter into the raffle. You do not have to register to participate in the walk itself. Register in advance here.

Robinson Ranch Co. Fall Fest 2024 | October 6 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. | Robinson Ranch– The 2024 Fall Fest will feature 100 craft show vendors, a petting zoo, pumpkin patch, food trucks & live music! Adult admission is $5, child admission- $5 which includes a free pumpkin.

Barktoberfest | October 6 from 12 – 3 p.m. | Mudbug Brewery, Thibodaux– Come enjoy craft vendors, activities for dogs and kids, costume contests with prizes, and lots of delicious food. Proceeds from the event go to benefit HOPE for Animals, so bring out the whole family, including your furry friends!
