A shooting in Thibodaux has resulted in three arrests for attempted first-degree murder.

Around 4:15 p.m. on May 11, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to several calls of shots fired in the area of Supercharge Drive in Thibodaux.

As one deputy was responding to the call, he noticed a small, black car matching the description of the suspects’ vehicle, which prompted a traffic stop.

The deputy identified the occupants as Torrell Sylvester, 34, of Raceland, Brent Ledet, 29 and Raven Stevens, 29, both of Cut Off.

A shotgun and a semi-automatic rifle were also recovered from the vehicle.

Back on the scene, officers said they investigated and discovered multiple bullet holes in the victim’s vehicle, while also getting additional information about the case.

Through investigation, detectives learned that a female driver and a male passenger were riding in a white SUV on Supercharge Drive when Sylvester allegedly exited the suspects’ car and fired multiple rounds from the rifle at the vehicle.

Authorities believe Ledet also fired a single round from the shotgun at the vehicle.

After the shots, the suspects fled in the black car.

All three were charged with attempted first-degree murder in the case, and they’re held in the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.

The bond for each is set at $200,000.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the motive behind the shooting.
