Man led deputies on pursuit after pitchfork attack
March 20, 2018A Lockport man who had been reported missing is now in custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office for violating a protective order.
Dorian Allemand, 31, of Lockport, was reported missing last week by LPSO – just says after he had been arrested on March 9 for cyberstalking and violation of a protective order in reference to an ex-girlfriend.
He bonded out of jail a few days later.
Last Saturday, Allemand had once again violated his protective order and a new warrant was issued for his arrest.
But on March 11, the ex-girlfriend turned over messages to deputies that she received from Allemand, which caused them to become concern for his welfare and safety. A search was conducted for him, but he was not able to be located. Allemand also missed a court date, which led to a warrant for his arrest issued for contempt of court.
After being missing for several days, deputies responded to Allemand’s residence in Lockport after getting a report that he was there.
Upon arrival, they made contact with a relative and observed Allemand running inside the house.
Deputies pursued and located the suspect in a bedroom. The suspect told authorities that he was not going back to jail and started to cut his neck with a knife.
Deputies attempted to stop the bleeding until EMT’s arrived.
Allemand was taken to University Medical Center in New Orleans for treatment and upon being released, he was taken to the Lafourche Parish Jail on charges of violation of a protective order and contempt of court.
His bond is set at $105,000.
