February 22, 2019The Houma Police Department has arrested a 37-year-old for allegedly raping two of his family members.
On Feb. 4, HPD detectives were called to a report of a sexual assault that occurred about two years ago. During the investigation, it was discovered that two female victims between the ages of 16 and 21 were assaulted by a relative.
Authorities learned that the assaults occurred over the past two years.
As authorities continued to investigate, HPD interviewed the victims and learned that the suspect was Paul Nosworthy, 37, of Tulsa Avenue.
HPD was able to obtain an arrest warrant on Nosworthy through the 32nd Judicial District Court on charges of third-degree rape and sexual battery.
On Wednesday just after 9 a.m., HPD located Nosworthy and took him into custody.
After a brief interview, he was arrested on the warrant where he faces the above-listed charges.
