September 26, 2017The Thibodaux Police Department is looking for a 31-year-old Vacherie woman after she allegedly used social media to say that she was going to “shoot up” the home of a victim’s family after an incident.
In late August, authorities got wind of a bizarre situation, which has already netted the arrest of Leo Oubre, 34, of 22847 Highridge Drive, Vacherie.
Authorities said at that time, Brandi Rothman, 31, of Vacherie, messaged a victim on social media and claimed that she would “shoot up” the homes of the victim’s family.
Rothman allegedly went a step further and made a graphic statement about the victim’s children, adding that their heads would make a nice trophy piece.
According to TPD, Rothman was upset over a social media post that the victim made concerning another person.
Authorities said the situation further escalated when Rothman posted a photo of the victim on social media, showing her in a sexually revealing light.
Authorities said the victim shared the photo of herself with Oubre when they were in a relationship and he then sent the photo to another person without consent. That person then sent it to Rothman.
On Sept.18, Oubre as arrested by the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Department on a warrant which had been issued by TPD.
He is charged with nonconsensual disclosure of a private image. He posted a $500 bond.
Authorities are now looking for Rothman and have a warrant out for her arrest on charges of simple assault and nonconsensual disclosure of a private image.
Authorities said Rothman is 5-feet, 2-inches and weighs 140 pounds. She is a white female.
Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is asked to call Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433. Information netting an arrest could lead to a $1,000 reward.
