Few details on ‘Expose Dat’ cop incident
January 26, 2019A 68-year-old woman is in custody of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office after she allegedly stabbed a teenage relative.
On Jan. 22 at about 4:45 p.m., deputies were called to 206 Cascade Drive in Houma in reference to a disturbance involving a knife.
A deputy drove up to the location and was confronted by a female holding a knife in her hand.
She then placed the knife on the hood of the patrol car and told the deputy that she had stabbed a 14-year-old female relative.
The suspect was immediately taken into custody without incident and identified as Ethallane Washington, 68, of Houma.
At this time, Acadian Ambulance was treating the victim for a stab wound in the arm. She was then taken to a local hospital for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. She got stitches and was later released.
Authorities investigated the incident and learned that Washington was upset about the victim allegedly talking back to her in a disrespectful manner, which sparked a heated argument and the stabbing.
Washington is charged with aggravated battery and she was taken to the Terrebonne Parish Jail where she is held on a $5,000 bond.
She told authorities that she has a mental disorder at the time of her arrest.
