LIL’ WRANGLERS YOUTH RODEO –

The rodeo is open to boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 18, and there is no registration fee. Events include goat tail pull, stick pony race, steer riding, barrel racing, pole bending, sheep riding and junior bull riding. Admission is $5 for adults 19 and older, while people 18 and younger pay no admission.

Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild members teach classes in various mediums throughout the weekly sessions. Some of the mediums include collage, art journaling, paper sculpture, acrylic, clay and watercolor. Registration, which includes a full week of lessons, costs $30.

STEUBENVILLE ON THE BAYOU YOUTH CONFERENCE –

The three-day youth conference returns for an eighth year to Houma, this year with the theme “Chosen.” This year’s speakers include California spirit and song artist Jackie Francois, a Haitian priest and Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Bishop Sam Jacobs. The band More Than Sunday provides live entertainment. Pre-registration is required, is open solely to youth groups and costs $135 for attendees within the Houma-Thibodaux diocese.

Highway 311, and a patriotic parade begins at 1 p.m. at Stadium Drive before taking the typical west Houma route to the civic center.
