Harvey Rabbit and Friends are visiting St. Mary Parish June 18. Two free performances of the puppet show are slated for 10 a.m. at the Franklin Senior High School Auditorium and 2 p.m. at the Bayou Vista Community Center.
The St. Mary Parish Library is hosting the events.
The fun-filled, energetic show features Harvey the talking rabbit, Cecil the orangutan and T-Boy the alligator. Joining in the fun are Laura and Tim Allured, who add music, magic and comedy to the ventriloquism. Expect plenty of audience participation.
The Allureds have toured elementary schools throughout Louisiana, southeast Texas and Mississippi since 1986. The couple also hosted a Lake Charles cable TV show, and has produced four Harvey Rabbit videos.
Music education graduates of McNeese University, the Allureds have headlined with Carnival Cruise Lines and on the Mississippi Queen.
