Those ages 15 to 18 looking for a summer job are invited to attend the third annual Teen Job Fair May 18 at the Thibodaux Branch library. It takes place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park craft room, located in the first floor of the Lafourche Parish Public Library in Thibodaux.

Since its inception, library staff member Heather Lagrange said the free event has gotten bigger and bigger.

“We don’t have the exact figures but we tend to have a very good turnout every year,” she said. “It makes finding a summer job that much easier.”

More than 20 businesses are expected to set up shop, looking for energetic teens. “The businesses are going to be taking applications, so teens should bring their ID and a resume,” Lagrange advises.
