Grace Lutheran Church’s 11th annual Fall Festival kicks off Saturday, Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church grounds (442 Valhi Blvd.). A real treat for young and old alike, the wholesome, Christian festival features bounce houses, pony rides and children’s games as well as a bake sale, live music and a variety of food.
Other crowd-pleasers include the huge rummage sale and the popular silent auction, which features over 100 items.
“The auction is great for Christmas shopping,” said event co-chair Jerrie Fitzgerald.
The church is also raffling a leather recliner, barbeque grill, boiling set-up for seafood and a child’s battery-powered jeep. Raffle tickets are $2 and you do not need to be present for the drawing.
All proceeds from the festival are donated to local community charities. This year’s recipients are the local Food Bank, the Bunkhouse Shelter, St. Vincent de Paul Free Pharmacy and Project Learn.
