‘Picasso’ auditions set for Jan. 9

Do people call you a character? Ever thought about acting?

Now is your perfect opportunity.

The Sam and Jim Acting Company is holding auditions for “Picasso at the Lapin Agile,” a comedy by Steve Martin, which will play locally in early March.

Tryouts are set for Tuesday, Jan. 9, at 7 p.m., at 1425 Tunnel Blvd., Suite E, (behind Bayou Florist) in Houma.

“Picasso at the Lapin Agile” centers on two notables, Albert Einstein and Pablo Picasso, who meet at a bar called the Lapin Agile (Nimble Rabbit) in Paris. The two have a lengthy debate about the value of genius and talent while interacting with a host of other characters.
