December 3, 2007The gift of music will reverberate throughout Terrebonne Parish this holiday season with two Christmas concerts performed by the Houma-Terrebonne Community Band.
The first concert will be held Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the JCPenney Court at Southland Mall.
The second will feature the HTCB and the Bayou Community Band with Choir on Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Thibodaux Civic Center. Performances will begin at 3 p.m.
Both programs feature a variety of Christmas music, old and new. Selections include “A Christmas Festival,” Oh Holy Night,” “Sleigh Ride,” C’est Noel,” “And the Mountains Echoed: Gloria!” “White Christmas” and “In the Christmas Mood.”

The South LA Community Orchestra is joining forces with H.L. Bourgeois’ High School Band and Choir to present “The Spirit of Christmas” concert on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. at Houma Municipal Auditorium.
Selections will include “Here Comes Santa Claus,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” and Handel’s “Messiah.”
Advance tickets are $3 at Fabregas Music in Houma or Thibodaux. Tickets are $5 at the door.
