TPSO: Boy lied about kidnapping incident
March 8, 2017Terrebonne General Medical Center and Ochsner Health System hosted a ribbon cutting and open house today to celebrate the opening of a new pediatric subspecialty clinic, a joint venture between TGMC and Oshsner.
TGMC joined the Ochsner Health Network in 2015. Since that time, the two’s partnership has continued to grow by increasing access to high quality care for the people of the Bayou Region, which also includes pediatric subspecialties, which will strengthen that partnership.
“By adding specialized services addressing the needs of pediatric patients at TGMC, we are making our services more accessible and improving the patient and parent experience,” said Phyllis Peoples, TGMC’s President and CEO.
The new pediatric dedicated clinic will offer pediatric specialties, including cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, pulmonology, endocrinology and general surgery.
Other specialties, including oncology and neurology will be added later this year.
“This clinic expands the range of pediatric subspecialty services currently offered at TGMC,” said Dr. William Lennarz, the System Chair of Pediatrics and the Associate Medical Director of Pediatrics at Ochsner Hospital for Children. “It brings the expertise of Ochsner Hospital for Children closer to home for children and parents in the greater Bayou Region.”
The new facility is located at the TGMC Medical Atrium.
