The Cournoyer Center for Music Performance has partnered with Luminate Houma and is thrilled to announce “Be Bald, Be Beautiful,” an inspiring event and fundraiser in support of St. Baldrick’s Foundation, dedicated to funding childhood cancer research. This fun and inspiring event will take place on July 13th at the Memorial Park next to Lumiere and promises to be a vibrant celebration of music, community, and the collective power of giving.

The highlight of the evening will be the head-shaving event, starting at 6:30PM, where brave participants will shave their heads in solidarity with those battling cancer. This symbolic act of support not only raises awareness but also generates donations for lifesaving research. Following the head-shaving ceremony, attendees will be treated to live music featuring a wide range of genres courtesy of the Cournoyer Center’s house band, showcasing students ages 12-17. The festivities will conclude with a performance by the local band Cantina Flies!

The Cournoyer Center is actively seeking participants willing to join their head-shaving team. Those interested in making a difference are encouraged to call or text 985-772-8066 for further details on how to get involved.

For those who wish to contribute to the cause but prefer to keep their hair intact, donations can be made directly through the following link: stbaldricks.com/events/cournoyer2024. Every contribution brings us one step closer to finding cures and giving hope to children affected by cancer.

Don’t miss out on this heartfelt and lively event. Mark your calendars for July 13th and come to Luminate Houma to be a part of “Be Bald, Be Beautiful.” Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against childhood cancer.
