The LSU AgCenter and Terrebonne Parish Library are excited to announce the Dining with Diabetes educational series, a four-part program designed to empower individuals with or at risk of diabetes, as well as those seeking to improve their overall health.

 

Whether you have diabetes, are pre-diabetic, or simply want to make better choices for your well-being, this series provides essential information to help you take control of your health.

 

The Dining with Diabetes series covers key topics such as understanding diabetes, managing carbohydrate intake, reducing unhealthy fats and sodium, and balancing vitamins, minerals, and fiber.

 

The program is led by Becky Gautreaux, RDN, LDN, a nutrition agent with the LSU AgCenter, who will guide participants through each informative session.

 

Classes will take place at the Main Library (D.E. Room) at 10:00 A.M. on the following dates:

  • October 29: What is Diabetes?
  • November 5: Carbohydrates & Sweeteners
  • November 19: Fats & Sodium
  • November 26: Vitamins, Minerals, & Fiber
