Houma Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the armed robber who held up a 63-year-old Houma man last Tuesday night.

The victim told police he was driving on East Street near Memory Lane when he had to stop to wait for the car in front of him to turn left, authorities said. The man said the robber jumped into his vehicle and, while brandishing his handgun, demanded money.

The robber climbed out of the car and ran away, taking the cash with him, police said.

The 63-year-old described the gunman as a husky black male, standing approximately 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches. He was reportedly wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Houma Police at (985) 873-6371.
