The Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter is excited to announce that all dog and cat adoptions are FREE from now until Halloween.

“A HUGE thank you to Best Friend’s Animal Society for sponsoring dog and cat adoption fees until October 31st! This is the purr-fect time to find your new furry best friend,” reads a statement from the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter.

All of the local animals waiting for their forever home are spayed, neutered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccinations before adoption. Come visit the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter located at 100 Government Street in Gray and take advantage of this amazing opportunity to adopt a loving pet for FREE. The shelter is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, and Saturdays for adoptions only, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM.

To see photos of animals up for adoption, please visit the TPAS website or their Facebook page. To start the adoption process, submit your application here.

The mission of the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter is to balance the health, safety, and welfare of the people and animals by protecting the rights of people from the dangers and nuisances caused by uncontrolled animals, ensuring the protection of animals from mistreatment, and promoting and motivating responsible pet ownership.
