Law enforcement makes arrest in 15-year-old priest murder case
September 19, 2007(AP) Whoever took a computer and jewelry from Brynnen Fremin’s house also apparently left with an unmarked box that contained her father’s ashes.
“I immediately felt like I lost my dad all over again,” Fremin said. “We just lost him – and I’m not even over that – and now I don’t even have his ashes.”
Fremin said she discovered the missing items when she got home Wednesday from the overnight shift at a fast food restaurant.
The shock of finding the back door of her house trailer open abruptly became despair when she realized the box was gone, she said.
She was keeping the box until her sister, Jenaiya Adams, bought an urn for her share of the ashes, which were to be divided among relatives. Bryce Fremin died July 4.
“We don’t care who did it,” Adams said. “We don’t want to know who did it. We just want our father’s ashes back.”
