Roman Catholic Bishop Shelton Fabre of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux will be a guest lecturer at Nicholls State University on Feb. 26.

His lecture, titled “African Americans: Ongoing Strengths and Engendered Hopes,” will be at 2:30 p.m. in Le Bijou Theater at the Nicholls Student Union.

The bishop also will celebrate Mass at 12:15 p.m. that day in the chapel of the St. Thomas Aquinas Center on the university’s Thibodaux campus.
