Terrebonne curfews lifting; Lafouche issues a new evening curfew

7:28 a.m. UPDATE: Sources are reporting the Coast Guard has successfully rescued 12 individuals, with no injuries.

The U. S. Coast Guard has been called out to rescue a group of people who became stranded on Isle de Jean Charles.
TOHSEP is reporting that a tree fell and blocked Highway 665, the only way into the area. Terrebonne Parish had issued a voluntary evacuation for Zone 1 on Thursday.
According to Mart Black with Terrebonne Parish, there are at least 12 individuals stranded, including four elderly. They will be brought to the Houma-Terrebonne Airport to be evaluated for injuries.
