A Cut Off man is asking for the help of the community to help spread warmth this winter season by donating brand new blankets to residents affected by Hurricane Ida. Scott Guidry, a native of Cut Off, and Boy Scout with Troop 333 organized the Eagle Scout Project to help families who experienced devastating damages caused by Ida. Guidry will be accepting donations of brand new blankets from Dec. 30, 2021 through Jan 31, 2022.

“During these sad times, there are many people who are still without homes, please join me in an effort to spread the warmth by gifting a blanket to cover and keep them warm this winter,” said Guidry.

You can donate a brand new blanket to one of the following locations:

Jeray Jambon Law Firm- 13044 West Main, Larose

Dollar General- 12894 West Main Street, Larose

B&B Hardware- 13222 West Main Street, Larose

Melaco Sisters Hardware- 16230 Hwy 3235, Cut Off

Monetary Donations can be made via Venmo: @ScottyBoy2004

All blankest will be distributed to families through the Bless Your Heart Foundation.
