February 19, 2013The Haven’s Feb. 22 Lunch & Learn event will focus on bullying in recognition of National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.
The event will begin at noon at the Fellowship Hall of the First United Methodist Church in Houma, and those wishing to attend must call (985) 872-0757 to RSVP.
The event will go over the impacts of bullying on teen dating relationships and the long-term effects of bullying in teenage relationships.
Bullying is defined as intruding on another individual’s personal space, overstepping that person’s boundaries or damaging an individual’s self-worth. In an intimate relationship, bullying can also be defined as emotional, physical and or sexual abuse.
